Sweepable Frequency Equalizer
This is also known as the semi-parametric, usually 3 or 4 band equalizers but rather than fixed or selectable ranges, the frequency at which you cut or boost is tuned into by a control that sweeps across a wide frequency range. They use peak/dip curves.
